Istihsan of the Early Iraqi Hanafis
Istihsan of the Early Iraqi Hanafis
ABOUT
Istihsan of the Early Iraqi Hanafis is a one-day, free event on understanding the concept of juristic preference (istihsan) and how it was understood, used and applied by major, early Hanafi authorities, along with its initial development. The event is open to the general public but spaces are limited, so register early!
This is the second in a series of events which seek to shed light on important theories of Hanafi Sacred Law and Legal Philosophy from specialised scholars around the world. Please note that places are very limited and you should only register if you have the firm resolve to attend. If not, consider leaving the space for somebody else.
